Halloween Dress-Up Day

We are thrilled to celebrate our 5th Annual Halloween Dress-Up Day at LCE on Friday, October 31st! Students are invited to wear their favorite costumes to school, following the guidelines below to help ensure a fun and safe day for everyone:

***Costumes should allow for full participation in learning. Students must be able to move freely, sit comfortably at their desks, and take part in all classroom and physical education activities. Costumes should not obstruct vision or movement in hallways.

***All costume preparations must be done at home. Staff members will not be available to help with putting on or adjusting costumes at school.

***Masks may be worn during special activities but must be removed during classroom instruction.

***No prop weapons of any kind (nunchucks, swords, knives, guns, sickles, etc.) are permitted.

***If you’re unsure about a costume, please check with your child’s homeroom teacher before the big day.

Students wearing costumes that are not appropriate for school will need to call home for a change of clothes.

We can’t wait to see everyone’s creativity and school spirit on Halloween! 👻

No School Reminder

Our school will be closed on Tuesday, November 4th for a Professional Development Day. During this time, our staff will be engaged in learning and training to continue improving instruction and support for our students.

Cincinnati Childrens' Clinic

We’re excited to announce that our Children’s Hospital Clinic is now OPEN! Our new, local clinic is conveniently located at New Richmond Middle School on our main campus. [Click here] for more information or to schedule an appointment.

Meet the Candidates

Join us for a Meet the Candidates forum on Thursday, October 23 at 7:00 PM in the New Richmond High School Auditorium. Come hear from the candidates running for the New Richmond Exempted Village School District Board of Education as they share their priorities and answer questions. This nonpartisan event is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the League of Women Voters. We hope to see you there!

Report Cards & MAP Reports

Students will be bringing home a paper copy of their 1st Quarter Report Card on Friday (10/24). If you have any questions about your child’s progress, please reach out directly to their classroom teacher. In addition, students will also be bringing home their NWEA MAP Assessment results from the Fall Benchmark period, which took place in late August and early September. These reports provide valuable information about your child’s academic growth and areas of strength as we begin the school year.

The Granny Awards

Our 3rd and 4th graders present The Granny Awards on Thursday, November 6 at 6:30 PM. Performers should arrive at 6:15 PM to check in and get set. If you have any questions, please contact our Music Director, Ms. Sarah Swango, at swango_s@nrschools.org. Tonight's the night we've all been waiting for!  Granny, who has retired from show business, will be honoring all of our favorite fairy tale characters! Who will win Best Female Vocalist? Best Male Vocalist? Best Dramatic Scene? Best Rap?  And the most coveted Best Villain Award? Tune in to see and hear your favorite performers! And don't forget to keep an eye on that nasty Big Bad Wolf, as he tries to steal the treasured Granny Award during the show!
